London: Epworth, 1923. Fourth edition. Hardcover. Small octavo in reddish brown cloth in white dust jacket with b&w illus.; frontispiece; 170 pages ; 20 cm. Very good copy in good(-) dust jacket protected in archival mylar. DJ has had a well-worn life with some tears along the edges adn one larger tear that starts midway on the back side to the head of spine; it's about 5" long by 1-1.5" deep; the only text that is torn is Ainsworth's name on the spine; DJ is moderately soiled; DJ is wrinkled along the open edge of the cover; remarkably the cover image of Ainsworth (the same on on the frontispiece) is still in tact and with the exception of some light scuffs, is in good shape; cloth is lightly aged with some sunning and dust soil around the edges and light rubbing to edges and corners; very light foxing to edges of pages; else tight copy; pages are clean and free of marks, creases and foxing; binding is tight and square. A gently-loved copy in a well-used dust jacket. Item #84773
